Here’s why: When you start a website or blog, write an article, or even shoot a video, the first thing you should do is figure out the exact keywords you want to target. Once you know them, try to buy a domain that contains these words.

Then, of course, as you post content to your site or blog, you will always utilize those keywords so your site can reference properly.

Let’s dive into the steps:
1. First off, you have to decide what you want to promote.
Is it intellectual property you can blog about? Is it a product you love… and you can run ad campaigns on other sites to promote your product? Do you love social media? Start to answer some of these questions before you just dive in. Once you are clear on HOW YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR TIME MAKING EXTRA MONEY ONLINE, it’s time to proceed. But…. don’t proceed until you have a clear understanding!

2. Do you want to have your own website or blog?
Or do you want to write for online article submission websites such as ehow.com, Associated Content, or Bukisa. Going this route gives you a very nice “home page” that can act as your website. Check out My eHow Profile as an example of what yours would look like.

3. Now for the fun part!

4. Signup for affiliate marketing programs.
This will allow you to put banners for products on your website/blog. Commission Junction is the biggest and the best from what I understand Even if you don’t start a blog or site right off the get-go, you can still place affilliate banner code into your ehow.com ADDITIONAL RESOURCES BOX. 5. Time to get serious now.
